Why green?

Thirst for adventure and desire to explore what is beyond, has driven mankind to travel and explore new places for centuries. In our time, tourism has become more affordable and accessible. Mass tourism is harming the environment and societies: transportation is a considerable contributor to air pollution, and heavy tourism produces negative consequences on the host society and environment, to the extent that popular tourist destinations often suffer destruction of local culture and ecosystems.

It is important that all of us who engage in travel do so responsibly: by minimising the impact on the environment and the host society at our destination. We are in no way suggesting that travelers spend their hard-earned holidays camping in their own back yards. On the contrary: we are here to offer you a wide range of vacations beyond your expectations, all the while promoting responsible travel and helping the adventurer within you be as green as possible.

Eco tours, hiking and cycling tours have a low impact on the environment, and thus figure prominently in our offers, and we continue to expand our low-impact tour offerings to give you even more choices.

We also offer packages to those interested in luxury tours, city breaks and expeditions.

No matter what kind of travel package you are interested in, Beyond Vacation will inform you how green your tours are, and pay the carbon offset tax to Sustainable Travel International from the package price, at no additional cost to you. Offsetting is performed by channelling funds directly to carbon-reducing projects, such as installing solar panels in African villages, hydro powerplant in Indonesia, Investing in wind power on Native American reservations or simply planting trees).

We are also committed to researching and developing packages respecting the principles of responsible tourism and helping communities and local businesses at tourist destinations.
