of incredible natural beauty and proud nomadic traditions. Karakol
is the largest city in Yssyk-Köl Oblast, set among stunning
central Tien Shan. Trekkers of every level can experience the breathtaking
beauty of the Tien Shan, the crystal waters of Lake Ala-Köl
at 3500 meters above sea level, and the natural hot springs of Altyn

Tour Details:
Day 1: Bishkek
Transfers from the airport to your lodge in Bishkek
Day 2: Karakol
Leave Bishkek and head to Karakol (7 hours). On the way visit the
Burana Tower architectural complex (the 10-11th centuries, the Great
Silk Road, 15 km from the main road). Drive through Boom Gorge and
after over the north shore of Issyk-Kul lake. Arrive in Karakol
town. Dinner and B&B at home stay.
Day 3: Jety-Ögüz Gorge
After early breakfast and transfer to Jety-Ögüz Gorge,
1 hour. Famous Seven large red rocks known as "Seven Bulls"
and "Broken Heart". Walk up to the valley of flowers close
to the Jety-Ögüz River (3-4 hours). The route follows
the river. After lunch walking to the waterfall, 2-3 hours. Overnight
stay in tents.
Day 4: Telety Pass
This day we will approach Teleti Pass (3 759 m), 6 hours walking
in Teleti Gorge along Teleti river. You will observe fir forests,
stones and Oguz-Bashy peak (“Bull’s Head”, 5 120
m)
Day 5: Karakol Gorge
Cross the Teleti pass (3759 m) and route will bring you to the Karakol
Gorge. Camp in tents in middle of Tien-Shan fir forest.
Day 6: Sirota area
Here you can see cows being milked and acquaint yourself with the
natural way of life of the shepherd-nomads. Ascent to Kurgak-Tor,
3 000 m. Camping at Sirota area in tents. Amazing views of the valley.
Day 7: Ala-Köl Lake
Hiking to beautiful Mountain Lake, called Ala-Köl (3 500 m),
2 hours. You will pass by two waterfalls. Take a rest at Ala-Köl
for 30 minutes. Hike through the Ala-Köl pass (3860 m) to the
Keldyke Gorge and from the pass see the excellent panoramas of Takyr-Tor
Glasier and five thousand mountain peaks of Terskey Ala-Too. Lunch
after descend. Walk to the Altyn-Arashan resort, which is situated
2450 m above sea level. Camp at this wonderful place which is surrounded
by magnificent rocks and from where a lot of streams begin from
the glaciers.
Day 8: Arashan
Spend time till lunch in Altyn-Arashan gorge. At the Altyn-Arashan
resort is possible to take a thermal water bath. You will never
be able to forget the sight of the snow on Peak Palatka (Tent) 5260
m or "Swallow's Nest Pool", nestling beneath the open
sky. Afternoon walk from Altyn Arashan resort down by Arashan Gorge
(4 hours). Drive to Karakol (30 minutes). Dinner and overnight in
a CBT home stay.
Day 9: Bishkek
Free day to relax and visit the city in a bed and breakfast.
Day 10: Bishkek
Transfer to the airport for your flight home or your extension.
